It was in my early 30’s when I realized that I liked Blood Mary’s. It was definitely a nice hair of the dog or winter warmer on a cold day shoveling snow or kicking back with friends and watching a game. The store-bought versions were OK, but my friends and I always seemed to be adding something to those to get them just right. That is when I began to dabble with recipes that I was finding in cookbooks and online. Then one day I found what I thought was a great blend of ingredients and began to experiment and develop a flavor profile that was unique, but noticeably still in the tradition of a true Bloody Mary. Friends that were in the food and beverage business that tried my concoction loved it and asked if they could have it for their restaurants. Other friends that had a passion for Bloody Mary’s kept asking me to make some mix for them. Chef friends loved that it was so versatile in the kitchen and began incorporating it into their dishes.
