Sheena Russell founded Made with Local at a farmer's market in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her wild idea? To make THE most delicious, nourishing bars possible using ingredients sourced from other farmers and suppliers in her town. Her crazy idea turned out to be a HUGE hit - and Made with Local's soft-baked, gluten free bars are still made using many of those same local ingredients today. Every bar is handmade in their Nova Scotia bakery - creating a decadent snack that's incredibly delicious, nourishing and sustainable.
