About Strange Bird

Hi my name is Tina and I’m the creator of Strange Bird. As a working mother of two, I understand how busy our lives can get and that more often than not our own self care is squeezed into the moments between moments. I wanted to develop a beauty line that would not only help people create a skincare routine, but also a daily ritual for Positive Impact–making those rare moments of self care truly powerful and transformative. As a 1st generation Chinese American, I grew up watching my grandmother and my mother take care of their skin, and each other's skin as a way to commune. I created Strange Bird because I wanted to share that culture with the world while also continuing my work as a therapist and life coach on a broader scale. I’ve met (and been) the woman who was too busy for self care. I deeply understand how hard it is to find time for ourselves. My skincare practice always served as a meditation, a ritual I could go to quietly—as a total introvert—to discharge, reflect, and play. It also served as a celebration of my own beauty through self-attention. I value these moments (especially now as a busy mom) to quiet the world outside of my bathroom door and honor the world inside of me. We thought through every layer and every corner of our line so that taking care of yourself and your skin can be the easiest part of your day.
