Last week concluded our global trade show event, Faire Summer Market 2021. It was our largest event ever, delivering our brand community double the volume since our last show, Faire Winter Market, in February. We were incredibly inspired by witnessing thousands of retailers and brands from across the world come together to celebrate local retail, and continue to recover from the difficulty of the past year.
Today, we’re excited to share some notable results and trends from the event. In the coming weeks, we’ll continue to share the top insights from the Faire marketplace to help our community plan and prepare for the 2021 holiday season and beyond.
Transatlantic participation
Nearly 12,000 brands received orders during the show from 30,000 retailers across North America and Europe. After expanding to 15 countries across continental Europe this year, we were thrilled to see that 10% of participating brands were based in Europe, with the U.K., France, and Germany representing our most active retailer communities in the region.
The show also facilitated over 65,000 new business relationships between brands and retailers on the platform—a nearly 50% increase since Faire Winter Market this past February. In total, retailers saved over $9 million at the event through exclusive brand discounts and promotion matching funded by Faire. To date, retailers have saved over $15 million at Faire Markets within the past year.
