For several months, we’ve been making predictions and preparations for the unique holiday season ahead. To further support and celebrate our resilient community of retailers, we extended net 90 terms to eligible buyers for two weeks in late September and early October.
Over 26,000 retailers purchased from nearly 8,000 brands during the course of the net 90 promotion. Plus, almost 60,000 orders placed were opening orders — meaning retailers used their extended terms to try new brands they’ve never stocked before.
And while they bought from a wide variety of brands, we saw that retailers favored tried-and-true value tags when ordering. Women-owned, made in the USA, and handmade brands were among the most-purchased.
To give you more insight into popular gifts this season, we’ve compiled a few of the most popular themes, categories, and products from our net 90 buying event.
Cozy gifts for fall & winter
As the year comes to a close, we’re feeling ready to snuggle up and enjoy the cooler temperatures. Some of the top items during our net 90 promotion came from our Apparel and Accessories categories, with popular products including shawls, socks, and hair accessories in seasonal colors and patterns.
And what pairs perfectly with a warm, soft outfit? Cozy goods for the home. Candles, tea, and throw blankets were also top searched and purchased items.
Decorative gifts for hosting at home
This year, many people will opt to stay home for the holidays rather than traveling. It’s therefore no surprise that some of the most popular products during our net 90 promotion came from our Kitchen & Tabletop and Home Accents categories.
Drinkware, decorative objectives, and seasonal decor stood out as the most popular items — everything you need to gather and host close family and friends at home. In fact, about 19% of total dollars spent during our net 90 promotion went to seasonal decor.
Cheeky gifts to commemorate 2020
A lot has happened this year — from the pandemic to the upcoming election to the recent death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. And when times feel stressful, sometimes we just need a laugh.
We’ve seen Faire customers embracing products that both poke fun and commemorate the events of 2020. This includes holiday ornaments that address this year’s major figures and sentiments.
