A gifting guide from the team at Faire
One of the best things about working at Faire is discovering all the amazing merchandise from brands on our marketplace, including giftable items like toys, clothing, paper and novelty items, beauty and wellness products, and more. Retailers placed their orders for holiday products months in advance, of course, and now many of these products are on shelves of boutiques and smaller retailers across the country—and even across the globe. Here are a few of our staff’s favorite gifts and wish-list items to inspire you this season:
Amy, Communications Lead
Amy has been shopping for colorful home decor and glassware this season. These candleholders from Gary Bodker Designs are among her favorites. “I just bought some at the craft fair this weekend!” she says.
Annie, Brand Marketing
Some of Annie’s favorite giftable items from Faire this season include scented candles and hand-knit or crocheted baby gifts. She’s also treated herself to a few colorful pieces of glassware that make a perfect addition to any bar cart.
“The Citrus Season Candle from Loam Candles is coming to every kitchen near me,” she says. “Also, anything Blueberry Hill for the littles, or any of these bar cart beauties from Sophie Lou Jacobsen for me.”
Hannah, Content Marketing Lead
Kitchenware and jewelry have been top of mind this season for Hannah, who thinks these knives from Forged Blades would make a great gift for any foodie. She’s also giving earrings this year, such as the 24K Gold Shell Pearl Geometric J-Shaped Earrings from Aim Eternal. “Both timeless and statement-making, I love these pearl earrings for my friends,” she says.
She’s had her eye on women’s clothing and accessories that make perfect gifts for loved ones in other locales, too, such as the Cozy Wrap from Hadley Wren. “The gift of coziness is perpetually at the top of my list, and this wrap is a gorgeous way to ‘hug’ loved ones from afar,” says Hannah.
Hillarie, Event Marketing Manager
Hillarie has also had her eye on jewelry and household tools this season. This Shake ’n Peel Garlic Skin Remover by Mobi and hoop earrings from brands like ZENZII Jewelry and Ellison + Young are among the great giftable options from brands that sell on Faire. And one of the best things about items like these is that they’re perfect for gift-giving year-round.
Imogen, Senior International Marketing Manager
For Imogen, a certain maker is top of mind for her holiday gifting and beyond. “My favorite brand at the moment is Stockholm-based print designer KJP,” says Imogen. “I was super excited to see her on Faire.”
“I love everything, so it’s impossible to choose one product, but the tea towels are the cutest gift!” she adds. “The matching place mats and cushions are definitely up there too (depending on how generous I’m feeling!).”
Victoria, Merchandiser
Handmade soaps and body wash are among the most popular and classic giftable items every season, and Victoria has found her favorite sudsy gift from Ume Studio this year. “Erode Soap by Ume Studio is the most chic gift for the homebody or that person who already has it all,” she says. This handmade soap comes in many different varieties, too, so you can find the perfect match for almost anyone on your list.
Ximena, Head of Creative
Ximena has her heart set on handcrafted home decor items from Meso Goods this holiday season. She says she has two options from Meso that she especially loves for gift-giving. “The first one is the safer one: the Marta Stackable Glass Blue & Clear (Set of 4),” says Ximena. “The second one is the quirkier one, but my favorite: the Tepezala Pitcher designed by Diego Olivero Studio.”
Jonathan, Staff Market Researcher
Kitchen tools and appliances are always popular gifts for those who love to cook, and Jonathan has his eye on one kitchen gadget in particular this year. “The Grill Press is a top get!” says Jonathan. “It’s been a sorely missed item in my kitchen for making evenly seared meats and veggies, as well as pressed sandwiches on the skillet or burgers on the grill.”
