The fall season is rapidly approaching, and retailers are filling their shelves with products for the coming months. On the Faire marketplace, we’ve seen searches for “fall” increase 10x globally since June 1st, and searches for “fall decor” and “Halloween” are at their highest of the year, indicating that now is the time to stock up on all things autumn.
To help our community of retailers discover products their customers will love, we’ve been keeping an eye on the latest trends emerging for fall. With the help of global search and buying data from the Faire marketplace, we’ve rounded up six trends for fall 2022 to stock for your store.
1. Fall decor

As the end of summer approaches, consumers are setting their sights on all things autumnal, from home decor and seasonal candles to Halloween candy.
At our recent Faire Summer Market, “Halloween” and “fall” were two of the most popular global searches, and that trend continues to prevail. In addition, “fall decor” has been one of the top five most popular searches in the US and Canada on Faire for the past five weeks. Finally, “Seasonal decor” has been one of the top ten most popular categories globally across Faire for the past five weeks.
Sales of fall decor items such as handmade velvet and fabric decorative pumpkins, like those from Your Heart’s Content and Blossom and Dash, are on the rise. Other popular items for fall include autumn scented candles, like those from Sweet Water Decor and Driftless Studios, and home accents like plaid throw blankets and pillows C&F Home and The Tartan Blanket Co.
Halloween has also been at the forefront of customers’ minds, and the word has been one of the top five search terms in the US, Canada, and the UK for the past five weeks. Halloween party supplies such as banners, balloons, and napkins—like those from My Mind’s Eye and Em and Me Studio—are favorites among Faire shoppers.
2. Seasonal candy

As retailers fill their shelves with decorations for the fall, they’re also stocking up on seasonal candy.
Halloween confections like gummy spiders and candy from Candy Club and Oh Sugar, and pumpkin spice flavored chocolate and toffee from Jensen Toffee Company and David Bradley Chocolatier have been filling retailers’ carts.

3. Flavored lip balm, exfoliating soaps, and more bath and beauty products

As consumers continue to place an emphasis on self-care, beauty and wellness products like artisanal soaps, flavored lip balms, and soothing lotions have seen a notable increase in popularity on the Faire marketplace. In fact, the bath and body category has seen the highest number of retailer orders globally for three out of four weeks in July, and searches for “soap” have nearly doubled between June and July across all markets.
Products like infused body buffers and scrubs from Spongellé and Nathalie Bond, soothing handmade body butter and lotion from 1818 Farms and Old Whaling Company, and exfoliating soaps from brands like Rock Bottom Lotion, Seagrape Apothecary, and KITSCH have all caught buyers attention on Faire recently.
Finally, Lip balms in flavors like mint, pomegranate, coconut, and more from brands like Poppy & Pout and Flawless have been some of the most popular products on Faire since June.
4. Statement stickers, backpacks, and other back-to-school supplies

Backpacks and stationery are always popular items when it comes time for back-to-school shopping, and this year is no exception. Paper & Novelty products have been among Faire’s most popular products in the past five weeks. Meanwhile, searches for “backpacks” hit their highest of the year in July. Prepare your store for back-to-school shopping with markers, pens, and other stationery from brands like OOLY and Inklings Paperie, and backpacks for all ages from Schneiders and Kaleido Concepts.
Finally, decorative stickers like those from Big Moods, Siyo Boutique, and Cultura Campaign have been increasingly popular on Faire, with the stickers category landing in the top ten most popular categories for all of July.
